Plan Your Promotions: August 2016
Despite my best attempts at convincing myself that summer isn’t almost half over, the calendar simply doesn’t lie. Fall is just around the corner, but we still have plenty of summer weather left in the month of August, and that means you still have time to gear your promotional products toward the last remaining days of great weather.
Still, there are enough holidays, awareness dates, and observances during August that you’re sure to find something to fit your business and make your customers happy. Take a look at the calendar below, and if you want to crack open up a cold beer a little early for International Beer Day (it’s set for August 7), I won’t stop you.

Summer weather might still be around, but for a lot of students across the country, August means another year of getting up early and trying to remember what class you have to get to on Mondays. It is Back to School Month, after all. Custom calculators are a great giveaway, and they’ll make remembering your company as easy as 2 + 2! We also have a wide selection of personalized backpacks you can give out to a few of your loyal customers, or you can do a special giveaway and fill the backpacks with school supplies.
Like I said earlier, on August 7, we have International Beer Day. And for those older college students (and adults) in your customer base, you can always get them custom bottle openersto make sure they spend their study breaks in a fun way (responsibly, of course). We have more assorted bottle openers than you can possibly imagine. There are guitar-shaped ones,shark-shaped ones, along with some that resemble credit cards, and even some that have anLED light built in if you’re opening a beer in a dark alley somewhere.
Of course, college students aren’t the only people who experience stress during the month of August. Here at TechnoMarketing, we pride ourselves on our stress balls and relievers, but for Relaxation Day on August 15, you might want to go a different route. Consider handing out a custom peeler when they stop by your booth as a way to thank them for their business.
